Our Team
Melanie and Amanda are a mother daughter duo who each offer unique experiences and perspectives to the business. We have been doing personal income tax in the Lacombe area for a number of years and will be transitioning our office to in Olds in 2023. Our family has relocated to the Olds/Sundre area and we are looking forward to meeting new clients and welcoming our existing clients to our new location.
Melanie has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years in a variety of roles, she has vast experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping. In 2016 Melanie transitioned from the financial services industry into M.A. Tax Plus on a full time basis. Her financial planning background and knowledge of taxation of investments provide valuable insight and knowledge to ensure our clients get good advice for their particular situation.
Amanda graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a major in Environmental Science in 2005. She was a consultant in the Environmental Health and Safety Field for a number of years. In 2009 she joined the business and started out by helping with the data entry and double checking returns. Amanda continually assumed more responsibility and has gained more taxation knowledge and experience year after year. Amanda is keen to learn and is not afraid of government legislation or calling the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to get the answers to the many questions that come up day to day.
Melanie and Amanda are both ready to answer or help you with your income tax questions or concerns and with your consent they will contact the CRA on your behalf should you find yourself in a situation that requires the assistance of a liaison.
How we Can Serve You
M.A. Tax Plus is an in person business, but we do have an option to serve those who do not wish to or can not travel to us. M.A Tax Plus offers a secure and encrypted email portal that we use to send and receive your confidential information as well as return your completed tax return for your review and authorization.
